Functional and bright, but limited duty cycle

The device does has a toggle switch, which allows continuous operation. However, the included information sheet clearly states that operating the laser continuously for more than 3 minutes will reduce the life of the product (due to excessive heating). It is unclear why a product with a toggle switch is meant to be used like a product with a momentary switch.

The brightness of this pointer is commendable. The emitted point is clearly visible in indoor settings; it is easily visible outdoors when directed at a target *not* in direct 'high noon' sunlight (at 100'). It is also a capable star-pointer.
